Lost an identical pair on holiday in Italy, returned to UK and bought a different Oakley pair. Did not like the lighter weight, thinner side arms and so had to cough up for another pair as illustrated! My previous pair had been in service for four years of sailing and driving and put to the test in Peru when I spent a day on a jeep safari on sand dunes (mountains!) where, with no protection and no windscreen the glasses were sand blasted for eight hours! No damage, no indents or scratching... phenomenal performance,
I alr nonopro ese glasses are a godsend. Also the anti-fog coating works incredibly well.
There are two main problems I have with them. Firstly, they're straight up dad sunglasses, aesthetically speaking. I thought they looked passably cool in the photo but when I saw them in the flesh, they're pretty garish. Also, shotgun proof apparently doesn't mean scratch proof. My advice would be - if they're not on your face, put them in the cloth bag because when they get scratched they lose a little of their magic. Also, they come with a little 'Global Vision' sticker on on spectacles frames online potential solution to the problem of a child with an unusually shaped head and flat nasal bridge needing his bifocals to stay in the right(ish) place. Have tried all different types of straps and other devices over the yea.
